My Water Vote ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. For the current phase of our platform, voting is conducted anonymously. We do not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, or physical address.
Any data collected, such as non-identifying municipal selections or aggregated vote counts, is used strictly to establish a citizen mandate for modernizing South Africa's water billing system. We may share aggregate, non-identifying statistical data with municipalities and government entities.
We use minimal cookies and local storage exclusively to prevent duplicate voting and maintain your preferences (such as light/dark mode) during your visit. These are strictly functional and are not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.
We may use third-party infrastructure (such as Supabase for database management) to securely store aggregate vote data. These services are bound by their own strict privacy agreements and do not use your data for independent purposes.
